Author/artist was born in 1974 in rural Okayama Prefecture, Japan. Like many kids, he was first inspired to become a manga artist in elementary school when he read Dragon Ball. After spending time in art college, he won the Hop Step Award for new manga artists with his story Karakuri. After considering various genres for his next project, Kishimoto decided on a story steeped in traditional Japanese culture.
His first version of Naruto, drawn in 1997, was a one-shot story about fox spirits; his final version, which debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, quickly became the most popular ninja manga in the world. The series would also spawn multiple anime series, movies, novels, video games and more.
Having concluded the series in late 2014, Masashi Kishimoto kept himself busy penning continuing adventures in the Naruto world, including the manga Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring and the story for Boruto: Naruto the Movie, both of which focus on the title character’s son, Boruto.
The second box set of the best anime out there contains one of the (if not THE) most intense fights in the series so far. (it's is a matter of taste of course) The fight with the puppet master Sasori is very thrilling from beginning to end. It's just to bad that the last episode of the fight against Sasori is missing here.
Contains episodes 14 to 26. I've always been a fan of the english dub (maybe it's because english isn't my mothertongue and I always liked the sound of the language itself). And in my opinion they did a great job in this episodes aswell. Giving (the real) Sasori the voice of Ichigo from Bleach (don't know the actor's name) was a very good choice here and he's doing very well.
For fans of the dub there's a nice little special feature included: The 'Shippuden Quiz Show'. It's funny if you like seeing. Great story.I love when anime progress stories like this. The original naruto series was well written. Each character was interesting.Alot of touching moments.Especially naruto, always trying to inspire an help. This continues in Shippuden.EXcept, the characters aged a few years.Which is what I meant by progression.Im not going to explain what each set is about.Just know this series is addictive. So if you get the chance, buy alot or all sets at once.I got all 15 on sale almost half off. 20ish$$$ a set.Im a little disappointed in the length of time it took to ship from Amazon LLC.5 business days just to be shipped. But arrived shortly after. The sets are kinda a ripoff considering each set is 11-13 episodes. But on sale it was a must buy.For 330$ I got 15 sets instead of paying 660$.I love this show and will keep buying.Set 16 is due to release in october 2013. I initially introduced the Naruto manga and (non filler) anime episodes to my kids, but ended up liking it enough that I have been following them up on the internet and own most DVD's (non fillers) and about half the manga volumes. This box set focuses on Naruto's relationship with the 9T fox due to the weakening seal, and his and Sakura's search for Sasuke and the resulting conflict with both him and Orochimaru. These conflicts are played out in detail and are done very well.
The complex relationships between the characters are also handled well. The animation is okay, nothing great but in line with the rest of the series and probably standard for animated manga in Japan. I personally like the Japanese voices (with subtitles) better than the American dub but both worked well. Too bad there is not much in the way of extra or background, especially.
I bought this movie because I love Naruto and I had to have it! Some people who watch naruto can't get over the japanese language, but I believe that the characters being played show more emotion in their native voice than the english verson.
The only diffrence between wating and watching it in english verus in japanese is the picture quality. When it comes to america, they clean it up and add cool features. Only problem is that you have to wait a while to see it in america.
All in all, great storyline, awesome voice work, and a lot of action. And it is the only shippuden movie so far with sauske in it.
